Dabbling in Boudoir

I'm finally dabbling in the world of boudoir photography, and will shortly be offering sessions on both coasts! For now, to keep my muse anonymous, here are a few teasers!

Engaged! | Gulmina & Mansoor

As the first step in their engagement, Gulmina and Mansoor hosted the meeting of their respective families at Gulmina's family residence in Staten Island. Both Pakistani, they celebrated with the age old traditions of family gift giving and sitting on a swing where guests fed them sweet treats.

This was a true honor to document as these traditions are thousands of years old and though this was just the first of many festive parties for Gulmina and Mansoor, it was so elaborate and thoughtfully designed.

Congrtulations Gulmina and Mansoor on your engagement and the adventure which lies ahead.

Sneak Peak! | Nick & Cesca

Nick and Cesca were married this past weekend at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church, followed by a reception at Central Lounge, both in Astoria. Both native Astoria-ns, Nick and Cesca dated in high school, lost touch and later connected through MySpace (remember that?!!!), ultimately finding their way to the altar. I'll keep you in suspense by saving the rest of their story secret until their full feature. For now...
Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Kallas on the beautiful journey which lies ahead. More to come!

Destination Wedding | Curacao Wedding

Being invited to document a client's most intimate wedding moments is beyond flattering, except when a friend invites you to shoot their nuptials --- then it becomes pure bliss. My dear friends were married on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Curacao in April. After 4 days of playing in the sand, alongside a chummy bunch of friends and family (don't forget Granny, who traveled all the way from Maryland!), the lovely couple had a beautiful, intimate ceremony on the beach followed by a reception just steps away from the water.
