Priya in Central Park!

There is not much to say about Priya, who is a total doll! She's my kind of girl; one who knows what they want and how to get it! Watch out Mom and Dad! Priya's gonna cause a lot of heart breaks!

Central Park Family Portraits | The Totejas

It's no secret that I am a fan of the Harlem Meer. But what I do enjoy more than shooting in Central Park North, however, is when I get children who are notorious for frowns to turn them upside-down!

Central Park Children's Portraits | Samuel

If you follow my work, you know I am a kid - lover! I work hard to bring out the best in them and to capture the small nuances that make them, well, them! I feel so privileged when families invite me to document such intimate moments and Samuel here, is no exception. We had a short but eventful romp in Central Park a few weeks ago. Enjoy.

Central Park North Woods| Maria

Maria and I had a fabulous time traipsing around Central Park's North Woods. As a Russian native, basking in the fall sun of course produced a smile spread ear to ear. What a beauty!

Happy Monday, folks. Enjoy!

Central Park Children's Portraits | Mia

Mia is vivacious 5 year old who is so curious about the world it made my heart ache. We all know how much I love kids and sharing a "play date" as she put it, together at the Harlem Meer was a lot of fun. She's very comfortable in front of the camera, obviously, just look at her images! Mia's recently been signed to Wilhelmina so I don't think this is the last you'll see of her.

Can you guess which face is Mia's "thinking face?!"

Faces of Harlem: Austin | Harlem Portrait Photographer

Austin is "fun, fresh, and fit," or so that's how he described himself to me during our time together. I'm a believer! Also referred to Faces of Harlem by Christina (and Earnest), he is a social media mogul on the rise and has been in and out of Harlem since his early days of college at Columbia University. You can see more, including slide shows at Faces of Harlem's new home, http://ilenesquiresphotography.blogspot.com/p/faces-of-harlem.html. Please email me at ilene {dot} squires {at} gmail {dot} com if you are interested in being featured for this project or know of someone who is.

Faces of Harlem: Maggie | Harlem Portrait Photographer

Maggie was referred by Christina, who was one of the first subjects I shot for this project and she, simply put, is a stunner. An actress on the rise, Maggie split the years of her youth between Cincinnati and Harlem, ultimately settling down in the apartment she was born in after college in Rhode Island. You can see more, including slide shows at Faces of Harlem's new home, http://ilenesquiresphotography.blogspot.com/p/faces-of-harlem.htmlPlease email me at ilene {dot} squires {at} gmail {dot} com if you are interested in being featured for this project or know of someone who is.
